My Home Decor Tips & Tricks: How to Achieve My Interior Style
Thoughtful design choices, seasonal rituals, and how I create a home that tells a story.
My home is a blend of sculptural, timeless, and soulful design—where every detail feels curated but still inviting. These are a few of my favorite styling habits that bring my spaces to life:
1. Sculptural Floral Arrangements
One of my favorite rituals is working with my florist, Isa Isa, to create sculptural floral arrangements that reflect the season. We build the palette around what’s in bloom that month, but the shape is just as important as the color. I love florals that feel like art—imperfect, architectural, and full of movement. They make the space feel alive, not staged.

2. Mixing Tableware
I always mix my dinner and appetizer plates—whether it’s different colors, finishes, or materials. It instantly makes the table more interesting and layered. It’s also a subtle way to tell a story or reflect the vibe of the night. Guests always notice, and it becomes a fun little conversation starter.
3. Colored Marble Accents
Mixing in colored marble—like deep green, cherry red, or rust—adds an unexpected twist. The marble we used on our bar is one of my favorite details in the house. It feels so unexpected—very '70s and sexy but still super sophisticated. These bold tones create a visual moment that feels warm, rich, and curated. My interior designer, Alana Marie Interiors, isn’t a fan of traditional bookmatching when it comes to stone. Check out how she aligned the marble on our bar on this video—it’s intentional, unexpected, and makes the whole piece feel like a design moment.

4. Don’t Be Afraid of Print and Texture
Layering bold textures and prints adds depth and personality to a space. For instance, we reupholstered our daybed from Garde shop from a simple taupe linen to this stunning leather weave—very Bottega intrecciato—which is probably why I was instantly drawn to it. I’m also in love with our dining chairs. The print is playful and totally unexpected, with gold, blue, and red tones that bring the perfect pop of color without overwhelming the room.
